The DIN EN 13224-2 standard provides specifications for precast ribbed elements used in floors or roofs. The standard outlines the requirements, performance criteria, and evaluation of conformity for these elements, which consist of a top and/or bottom slab and one or more ribs. The concrete used in these elements must not contain more than 1% of organic material.
The standard also includes examples of precast elements and specific requirements for minor floor elements. It covers terminology, performance criteria, tolerances, relevant physical properties, test methods, and considerations for transport and erection. However, it does not address load-bearing capacity determination through testing.
