Standard EN SampleConcrete - Part 1: Methods of specifying and guidance for the specifier
Also Known As:
ISO 22965-1:2007 is a standard that applies to various types of concrete used in construction, including structures cast in situ, pre-cast structures, and structural pre-cast products. It covers different types of concrete, such as mixed on site, ready-mixed concrete, and concrete produced in a pre-cast concrete plant. The standard focuses on concrete that is compacted to retain no appreciable amount of entrapped air, excluding entrained air, and includes normal-weight, heavy-weight, and light-weight concrete.
The standard provides requirements for specifying concrete and offers guidance for exchanging information between the specifier and supplier. It also includes an informative annex that gives general guidance on specification, and a national annex can provide more specific guidance tailored to local conditions. However, the standard does not apply to certain types of concrete, including mortar, aerated concrete, foamed concrete, concrete with an open structure, lightweight concrete with a density less than 800 kg/m³, and refractory concrete. Additionally, the standard does not cover health and safety requirements for workers involved in the production and delivery of concrete.
