Standard EN SampleConcrete - Part 2: Specification of Constituent Materials, Production of Concrete and Compliance of Concrete
Also Known As:
ISO 22965-2:2007 is a standard that applies to different types of concrete used in various construction projects. It encompasses both in-situ and pre-cast structures, as well as structural pre-cast products for buildings and civil engineering structures. The standard covers concrete that is mixed on-site, ready-mixed concrete, and concrete produced in a plant for pre-cast products.
The standard emphasizes the need for concrete to be compacted without retaining any significant amount of entrapped air, except for entrained air. It also addresses normal-weight, heavy-weight, and light-weight concrete. However, there are exceptions specified in other international standards for specific products or processes within the scope of this standard.
ISO 22965-2:2007 focuses on the properties of constituent materials, the production of concrete, and the compliance system for concrete. It does not apply to certain types of concrete, including mortar, aerated concrete, foamed concrete, concrete with an open structure, concrete with a density less than 800 kg/m³, or refractory concrete. Additionally, it does not cover health and safety requirements for worker protection during concrete production and delivery.
