Standard EN SampleExecution of Concrete Structures
Also Known As:
ISO 22966:2009 is a standard that provides common requirements for the execution of concrete structures. The standard applies to both in-situ works and construction using prefabricated concrete elements. It emphasizes the need for the execution specification to state all specific requirements relevant to each structure. The standard is applicable to both temporary and permanent concrete structures.
Although ISO 22966:2009 sets out general requirements for concrete execution, it acknowledges that there may be variations and allows for additional or different requirements when using lightweight aggregate concrete, other materials such as fibres, or special technologies/innovative designs. However, the standard does not cover concrete members used solely as equipment or construction aids, the specification and production of concrete, the production of precast concrete elements made in accordance with product standards, safety and health aspects of execution, contractual issues or responsibilities, and third-party safety requirements.
