The concrete can be of different strength classes and densities, and it should contain steel reinforcing bars.
The test method outlined in the standard is applicable to all types of fire protection materials used for concrete members, including sprayed materials, reactive coatings, cladding protection systems, and composite fire protection materials. The tests aim to determine the ability of the fire protection material to remain fixed and coherent to the concrete member during exposure to the standard temperature time curve.

It defines the limits of applicability for the assessment results, including the permitted direct application to different concrete structures, densities, strengths, thicknesses, and production techniques. It should be noted that this standard is not applicable to structural hollow concrete members.
